Working on

Hi everyone,

Wow eXpresso is right around the corner!

I wanted to give you some updates and would love to hear from the team coordinators with any updates as well.

I don't know about you but our family is embarking on a very busy season so THANK YOU for your WILLINGNESS to come along side and SERVE during the start to the HOLIDAY seasons!

19 "When words are many, sin is not absent,
but he who holds his tongue is wise." - Proverbs 10:19 (NIV)

Leader of eXpresso:
Tanya Kirkpatrick

Working still on panel

The Panelist we have and know for sure is ..

April Ellis

Will update more at the end of the week :0)

Table Hostess Coordinator:
Kristina Bradley

Kristina will not be at our next eXpresso as it is her hubby's birthday.
She will be calling the hostess's and confirming Monday, October 26th they will be able to Hostess a table. We are still in need of SEVERAL table hostess's. If you know someone that would love to love on a table of women, please forward them Kristina's information: kbradley14@cox.net, 480-980-8977

Kristina is working on Table Questions also for the upcoming eXpresso on "WORDS"
Kristina is looking for someone who could ck in the table hostess's the night of eXpresso and pray with them before the event.

One different thing we are doing with the table hostess's this eXpresso is allowing time at the end of discussion time for them to pray with their table.

Set up/ Tear Down Coordinator:
Jaime Anglin
480-227-2103 Cell
480-988-5505 Hm
email jaimeandderek@hotmail.com

We will be setting up after mom's on October 26th at noon. If you can help set up please contact Jaime Anglin.

I (Tanya) am working on a new table set up for the student center. I think to put the small bistro tables lined up front by the stage will look nice and give more room.

The pipe and drape are down so we should be able to feel like we have more room.

Jaime did an awesome job looking up new ideas for some center pieces for the bistro tables since the space is limited on the table. I have asked Michelle about fish bowls that we used to have for woman's ministry. Jaime found a glass container with coffee beans inside and a candle sent in the coffee beans or coffee beans with a few flowers coming out, so pretty! Go Jaime!!

Annie found this incredible song for the upcoming eXpresso and we are working on getting Katie Cooley to sing it and possibly her daughter on keys behind her.

Katie Cooley, (480)560-6847, katiej1969@cox.net

You can listen to the tune at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ofE-GZ8zTU

I've done every devotional
Been every place emotional
Trying to hear a new word from God
And I think it's very odd
That while I attmept to help myself
My Bible sits upon my shelf
With every promise I could ever need

CHORUS:
And the Word was
And the Word is
And the Word will be

People are getting fit for truth
Like they're buying a new tailored suit
Does it fit across the shoulders
Does it fade when it get older
We throw ideas that aren't in style
In the Salvation Army pile
And search for something more to meet our needs

CHORUS

I think it's time I rediscover
All the ground that I have covered,
Like seek ye first what a verse
We are pressed but not crushed
Perplexed but don't despair
We are persecuted but not abandoned
We are no longer slaves
We are daughters and sons
And when we are weak we are very strong
And neither death nor life nor present
Nor future nor depth nor height
Can keep us from the love of Christ
And the Word I need is the Word that was
Who put on flesh to dwell with us
In the beginning

I absolutely loved the song! Go Annie!

Raffles Coordinator:
Starla Evans

Starla has been working hard on the raffle's for eXpresso!
If you have a business or know someone that would like to donate to spoil a gal
the night of eXpresso, Please send Starla their info. It would be awesome to have some extra raffles this eXpresso as it is right in the midst of the Holiday season :0)

Thank you Starla for working hard to bless the gals the night of eXpresso!

Greeter Coordinator
Jami Lindberg
480-452-4158
lindbergs@cox.net

Jami was getting around ten gals to greet outside the front doors as well as posted at all the doors inside to help seat gals also.

Jami this has been such a huge blessing the nights of eXpresso! Thank you so much for coordinating and loving on the greeter team!

Kiosk Coordinator
MaryAnn Eberhart
480-298-1603 Cell
maryanneberhart@cox.net

WOW! MaryAnn rocked the front with her clip boards and three kiosk ck in's last eXpresso. It really helps having three kisosks. One set for New gals to CS and two regular ck in's. Mary Ann, do you need a fourth kiosk? I know it get's hairy in the front for about 20 min and I wanted to make sure we have enough running.

I loved the Clip Boards for the new to CS gals to capture all their info while they are waiting in line to ck in!

MaryAnn let us know if you need anything else or volunteers! Thank you so much!

The Team ck in went well at the last eXpresso. Sara asked if we could have the lanyards at one kiosk with a sign for eXpresso Team ck in to have the lanyards right with the labels and then at the end of the night the eXpresso Team could turn them in at Sara's info table.

Information Table
Sara Ghali

What a blessing the Info table was! Sara thank you for your warm smile and greeting the gals as they picked up info on how to plug in at CS.

Did you need one more gal at your table or did it go ok with just you?

Refreshments Coordinator
Laura Corey

lcorey@cox.net

YIPPEE! I loved that we had two containers of water/ and lemonade! Thank you Laura and Evy for keeping us well stocked on the drinks!

This next eXpresso we are looking for some gals to come along side and serve to sale the desserts for a small fee.

We can do whatever for yummy desserts, one time we had done Paradise Cookie's and they went over awesome!

Laura, what are your ideas for the food? I spoke with Evy the other day and said we can do something super simple like the cookies, let me know. It is a busy season so think simple.

Update from last eXpresso

Updates: Teams please send me updates of where you are......I have some but not all so I will update what I know for this next expresso but first let's get an mini update on the last eXpresso!

251 total
43 New Check ins
WHOOP WHOOP!

Not everyone ck'd in...... so we could maybe add 15 more gals to the above number!

Here is some of the feedback I received (please keep in mind these are emails that are to me personally but have some very good input in them and I wanted to share them with you as this is a TEAM effort and the night would not have ran smoothly without an incredible Team of each one of you lovely talented ladies!!) If you have any input emails......I would love to post them as well.........

Hi....just thought I'd send you a quick note to let you know what a good job you did last night. The evening was well organized and covered a very interesting and meaningful topic in a very dignified way....good job! Our table leader did an excellent job too and made the evening fun..... PS I was gad there was a purpose for the "coat".....I couldn't imagine why you were wearing it on such a hot night.....great twist....
*****************************************************************************
Just wanted to say “WOW” That is for you, you are an awesome speaker, and organizer. I really enjoyed the expresso meeting last night. I know my sister loves to come to them, and she always tries to talk me into it, but I always seem to be running . Last night I decided to come mainly because my neice kept calling me, and I did have to leave by 8:45 to pick up my daughter but I have to tell you I was really enjoying myself and kept checking my clock not because I had to leave but I was hoping I would get it all in before I did have to go!! Thank you for opening it up to “outsiders”, it seems to be quite an extraordinary group of women. I also enjoyed our table host very much. I cannot remember her name right now. She was about my moms age, short blond hair, and one of your cute pink flowers in it. Lovely lady!!
*********************************************************************************
You gotta know…………….that was the BEST night ever. It truly was. Jammed pack was the ‘house’ and JESUS got all the glory. I love what you do!!! I seriously do. I loved your pink coat that you shed and the FORGIVEN shirt. You are BEST at what you do. I remember your heartbeat to go and grow so may Christ do just that!!!!

Anyway…..I want to make a suggestion and also a praise report!!!!

At my table I had 3 NEW girls!!! That’s HUGE!!!!!!!

Two of the girls related to Jan’s story…….they both had children (age 2yrs and 4yrs) that had been diagnosed with autism and bone marrow transplant. One started crying. She wants to ‘hide’ it and also wants to get back to church; former Catholic. The other feels ‘labeled’ and recently dedicated her life to Christ at cS.

They are needing to get plugged in!! I gave them ALL the forms in the folder. They were excited!!!!!

SUGGESTION:
Can there be a way we can formally exchange emails (form to fill out) at our table? What about asking them to return to that table in October??? Not sure if you even like that idea??? Just FYI

You have DONE and are DOING an AMAZING job. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

Oh….1 more last thought………..

SUGGESTION:
Have a time table leaders can PRAY for their girls. Maybe you come up and say we have 3 minutes left so this would be a time to wrap up and PRAY.

I had HEAVY hearts at my table………….’secrets’. I would have loved to have stormed the throne for their needs.
**********************************************************************
Sorry i'm a little late, BUT i just wanted to say how much I LOVED the Expresso
event and i truly wanted to THANK YOU for all your hard work!!!!
It means so much to so many and we are very blessed because of the
special love that you have in your heart. Thank you for caring so much!
Have a great day and weekend and enjoy God's beautiful cleansing showers.
THANKS AGAIN!!!!
***********************************************************************

Wow, some awesome feed back, what did you hear?
Were there ways we could serve the gals better?

Another friend of mine said Tan do you pray with the panelists after they have shared so they don't leave with "Open" wounds, do you pray with them to close them?
Wow what a powerful suggestion and the answer was "no"
I seem to get so busy after that we don't pray together,
I called each panel member Tuesday and prayed with the on the phone and apologized for not
praying with them after they spoke.

Another friend suggested someone be the coordinator of the panelists......... To love on them and stay with them until they go on. Some times the panelists can really have their nerves run away with them until they come on the stage which can be anywhere from 30 to 40 min after eXpresso starts. Again, What an awesome idea and I am working with a gal who is praying about this position.

Another thing I heard was it was extremely warm and obviously squished........
A couple of things with this that are huge positives!

1. The black drapes are down for now and this will help with extra room as well as the thermostat was located behind the drapes therefore making it very very difficult to read how warm the room truly was, it was super cold behind the drapes.

2. We will be doing the October eXpresso in the Student Center and I am working on a new room set up. I was thinking about setting up all the Bistro tables closest to the stage as it will help free up some space and the layout I think will look nice. Any suggestions with this?

3. The student center was just freshly painted and measured for carpet. They are trying to decide between decorative concrete and carpet as it is in desperate need of replacement.

Ok let's talk each individual mini ministry within eXpresso:

Table Hostess Coordinator:
Kristina Bradley

We had an awesome group of women hostessing tables. Kris was able to pray with them prior and I have to tell you as I walked around visiting with gals before we started the program, the table hostess's were already busy at work doing introductions and having some awesome conversations.

Thank you Kristina for coordinating all the Talented table hostess's and thank you to all our awesome Table hostess's for loving on the women at your tables. You made such a huge impact on the gals that attended eXpresso!

We are in need of a total of 30 table hostess's, if you know someone with a gift of hospitality could you please forward the onto Kristina Bradley? Thank you so much!

Kristina, Thank you for the awesome table questions, I heard great feedback from the conversations that were spurred because of your creative questions!

Jaime Thank you for coordinating all these amazing women, these gals brought kids and a movie player and took time out of their mornings to set up the room, THANK YOU!!

Thank you for all the gals who stayed late to help put everything away, some were even some of the gals who helped set up and although it was a very busy night, tear down took no time at all. We continue to get better and better at this!

Thank you Jaime for your heart to serve as the set up/tear down coordinator for eXpresso

I am thinking we should do a little something different on the bistro tables for center pieces. Jaime and I will be going through the boxes and putting on our thinking caps so if you have any suggestions to mix in to the center pieces we are using now please send them to myself or Jaime.

****Jaime is having hand surgery this Saturday please pray for her recovery!

Thank you Starla for the time you take to find such awesome raffles and for being our raffle coordinator!

Ladies if you have a business or know a business that you could send Starla the contact for she would so appreciate it!

Also someone had asked about having the raffles out at a back table or somewhere where women could visually see them and spark some interest in the awesome raffles as we transition into the big building to spur the gals to stay and do the table talk time after to have a chance to win some awesome raffles. Please brainstorm with Starla on this and send her your suggestions.

What a great place for gals to stop and gather any information on our awesome ministries we offer here at Cornerstone. Thank you Sara for coming early and staying late to welcome gals to the table to love on them!

The lanyards worked awesome, Sara thought maybe we should have them for the team at the team kiosk ck in and then she could collect them at her table after eXpresso. Thoughts?

I had someone ask if we should put your table inside the student center and I am wondering with the black drapes down if we could have you somewhere in the back.

********************************************************************
We are about ready to embark on a very busy season so I would like to see if we can communicate via our blog for this eXpresso? We have a coordinator meeting right before the next eXpresso to put on any finishing touches. Please let me hear your hearts/thoughts.

THANK YOU TEAM, eXpresso would not be with out all of you! We continue to grow and just fine tune. My heart over flows and I am so honored to be able to work with each of you special gals. Please forward this out to all your teams and please be cking back to the blog regularly.
